ECOTOURISM CENTER IN TETLAMA, MORELOS, MEXICO MASTER PLAN AND PRELIMINARY ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN OF AN ECOTOURISM CENTER IN TETLAMA, MORELOS, MEXICO, FOR CDI AND MORELOS STATE SECRETARIAT OF TOURISM (2005-06; ECOLODGE BUILT: 2007-08).
For the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (CDI) and the Morelos State Secretariat of Tourism , Arq. Ceballos-Lascuráin developed the master plan and architectural design of an Ecotourism Center in the indigenous locality of Tetlama, Municipality of Temixco, Morelos , comprising an ecolodge with 20 cabins, restaurant/kitchen, interpretive center, interpretive nature trails, and other facilities related to ecotourism. The lot, with an area of approximately 10 hectares, is located in a semi-dry tropical deciduous forest locality, contiguous to the Xochicalco Archaelogical Zone, which is a World Heritage Site. Arq. Ceballos-Lascuráin also acted as special consultant and supervisor during the first phase of construction (2007). |
